a poem from the road
You always inspire me Kevin! Just when I think all words have flown away, n out of my belly something pecks at me inside…when waterfalls bellow inside one’s body
Trapped and unable to turn inside out.
Water-logged organs glimpsing for survival.
This grief, I have known.
Heart searches
For that one dry spot to find refuge.
She always finds it, and moves on
Please finish this poem! It is there waiting for you.
Hmmmmm… not sure where to go with it?
Keep listening and the poem will write itself.
I thunk Pablo Neruda would have liked this poem.
Del, which translation are you reading? I have never read the collected works, only a few poems—love poems—here and there.
In Praise of Folly- what a great title! Is that your new book? Can I get it?
I stole the name from Erasmus who used it in a sufficiently ambiguous way. :-)
Absolutely love this! Very inspiring!❤️
